ActiveGen<i> is an industrial grade camera SDK designed to provide developers with an easy access to GenICam-compliant cameras.
An application that uses ActiveGen<i> does not have to rely on a specific camera model or programming language - any GenICam-compliant camera will work with it out of the box in any popular programming environment such as C++, C#, VB6, VB.NET, HTML, Delphi, Java, PowerBuilder, Matlab, Python and Adobe Flash.
ActiveGen<i> offers comprehensive property dialogs with full control over camera attributes, instant access to image buffers and pixels, real-time image processing, color overlays of graphics and text, histogram and statistical calculations, built-in background correction and hot-pixel removal, real-time frame averaging/integration, time-lapse AVI 2.0 recording with selectable compression, display synchronization and anti-tearing, and many more.
Included TWAIN and DirectShow drivers provide a universal plug-and-play interface between GenICam cameras and third-party imaging and video recording applications.
For more information please visit A&B's website.
XIMEA cameras are supported by ActiveGen<i> through XIMEA GenICam GenTL Producer.
Users are advised not to install the TWAIN or DirectShow interface while using any other software with GenTL interface as it may cause deadlocks in the GenTL producer.
Software libraries tend to enumerate cameras on various interfaces and with ActiveGeni installed, a conflict may occur when enumerating ActiveX devices through GenTL.
