Live Support under Win8¶

Windows 8 is using a new security layer that builds in the SmartScreen filter from Internet Explorer into the OS.
Follow these simple steps to disable the Smartscreen security filter to run the XIMEA Live Support application.

Open the control panel and click on the System and Security option.



Open the Action Center.



In the Action Center expand the security list, scroll down to the Windows SmartScreen option.
Click on the Change Settings link.



When prompted by UAC for your password, select the Turn off Windows SmartScreen option radio button.
