Low cost stereo-vision solution on DSP/intel platforms using two high speed (USB3) compact cameras and advanced, low complex depth estimation algorithm.
My algorithm is capable of running at a high frame rate on low-cost DSP platforms.
Other existing stereo depth estimation needs FPGA or GPU platform for real-time processing at 30fps, increasing the product cost and also working at a lower frame rate.
By using good quality, high frame rate XIMEA cameras and a Fast stereo vision algorithm, it would be possible to reduce the reaction time for different time critical Automotive applications (like collision avoidance and motion prediction).
